The "Curious Novices" of March 2024

1. Safety and Security 🛡️👮♂️🔒
Your child's well-being is our top priority. All activities will be supervised and assisted by experienced PiggyPlay Coaches, Joyce, Benedict, and James. They will each care for groups of up to 10 children, with additional support from parents present. The event will be held at Agora Colearning space, or a comparable well-established and secure venue, designed for enjoyable and safe learning experiences.
2. Curriculum and Learning Outcomes 📚💡🧠
The carnival aims to introduce young minds to the world of money in a fun and engaging way. They will:
Explore the history of money and how it has changed over time through captivating stories.
Participate in interactive activities and watch Professor Piggyplay and his friends explain various money concepts.
Complete creative worksheets to solidify their understanding of money forms, global currencies, and calculating change.
Putting the learning to use, children are given PiggyPlay tokens to trade for games, gifts, stationery, and snacks at our dedicated booths.
These activities are designed and will be guided to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and equip children with essential financial literacy skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
3. Value and Engagement 🎡🤹♂️🎓
The "Curious Novice Carnival" strikes a balance between fun and learning. Engaging activities deliver clear learning goals, helping children develop valuable financial literacy skills through play. The program runs for 2 hours. The first 1.5 hours are dedicated to planned activities, followed by a 30-minute break where children can enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas at the venue.
